Ingredients
- 1 jar Pearls Specialties Garlic Stuffed Olives
- 1 1/2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1/4 cup warm water
- 1 cup whole milk
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon roasted garlic powder
- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for dusting
- 1 egg, beaten + 1 tablespoon water
For the Garlic Butter
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 garlic cloves, finely minced
- Parmesan cheese
Cooking Instructions
- Drain the olives and roughly chop 12 of the Pearls Garlic Stuffed Olives. Cut the remaining olives in half and set aside.
- Pour the warm water into the bowl of your stand mixer and add the yeast. Let sit until dissolved, about 5 minutes.
- Meanwhile, in a large mixing bowl combine the milk, melted butter, sugar, salt, garlic powder, rosemary and the chopped olives. Stir until well-mixed.
- Place the dough hook on your electric mixer. Pour the milk mixture into the yeast mixture and mix thoroughly. Add 3 cups of flour and continue mixing the dough. Add additional flour as necessary to make a soft dough.
- Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead the dough for five minutes or until the dough is nice and smooth.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, turning once to coat the dough. Cover loosely with a clean dishcloth and let the dough rise in a warm place for 2 hours or until doubled in size. Punch the dough down and place it on a work surface. Divide the dough into 24 pieces and roll to form balls. Lightly grease a 12-cup muffin pan. Place two balls of dough in each muffin cup. Press two or three olives halves into the dough balls.
- Brush the rolls with the egg wash and bake at 350°F for 15 to 20 minutes, or until golden brown. Meanwhile, make the Garlic Butter by combining the melted butter and garlic in a small mixing bowl. Season with salt and set aside.
- Remove the rolls from the oven and brush them with the garlic butter. Finish with Parmesan cheese.
